Components



Components appear in most online products and are useful in managing main sections of a content management system. This can also be seen as managing the content on main sections, and sub-sections, of a website.

You can access the details of a Component by clicking on the Components option from the Main Menu.
A list of active Components are displayed. Click on the Name of the Component for full details.

Components can be activated by Logos Flow when required.

Components often have the following fields:
  • Name: this is the reference name of the Component. Does not appear on the website. and cannot be changed.
  • Online name: this is the Name that depicts the section website; i.e. News & Announcements.
  • Description: a brief description that explains the content of the Component.
  • Activated by: for administration purposes only (i.e. name of the Distributor who can activate and de-activate components). Does not appear on the website.
  • Date activated: for administration purposes only. Does not appear on the website.
  • Time posted: for administration purposes only. Does not appear on the website.
  • Username: the Client level of access allows you to enter a username and password to someone who can access a Component. At the Login screen they enter their username, password and select User from the options.
  • Password: the Client level of access allows you to enter a username and password to someone who can access a Component.
  • Notes: enter any Notes you might find useful (could be an instruction to the User level of access). Does not appear on the website.
  • Hidden: for administration purposes only. Via the Admin level of access various Components can be activated or de-activated.
